Palletways Group, Europe’s largest provider of express delivery services for palletised freight, has secured reaccreditation to the ISO 9001 standard for a further three years.

The logistics firm has continuously met the ISO 9001 quality standard since 1996. This recent reaccreditation covers all Palletways’ UK owned sites until 2017 including its central hub at Fradley Park, Lichfield along with its other UK hub operations in Greenford and Livingston and its depot in Didcot. The reaccreditation also applies to its Benelux hub in Nijmegen.

In order to achieve continued certification to the International Quality Standard ISO 9001, external auditors carried out numerous surveillance assessments into the firm’s robust, efficient and effective quality management systems, which underpin its operational and business activities.

Tim Bentley, SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) manager at Palletways (UK) Ltd, said: “Consistent use of the ISO 9001 over the last 18 years has provided us with a framework to sustain and grow the business. Adopting an instantly recognisable and widely understood quality system which includes consistent and repeatable processes has helped the business to function in a disciplined, systematic way.

“Reaccreditation to the standard means that Palletways will continue to be known as a world-class quality organisation. Being able to continue to proudly display the ISO logo will give our customers, members and employees improved levels of confidence and trust in the service that we deliver.”

Palletways has enjoyed meteoric success in the last two decades. Founded in 1994 in the UK, Palletways’ network has grown from delivering 46,000 pallets in its first year to 30,000 consignments of palletised freight every day - equivalent to one pallet every second.  Today, the network delivers to markets across 14 European countries via 300 depots and 12 hub operations. In the UK one in every four pallets handled by palletised freight networks is distributed by Palletways.
